The Turnberry Isle Resort And Club offers two superb and challenging championship courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. Known for their gracefully contoured fairways, sculpted bunkers and deceitfully tranquil hazards and traps, the 18th hole on the South Course features Turnberry's famous "Island Green".

Turnberry is ranked among the top ten US golf courses for service, by Golf Digest Magazine and its amenities include a complete pro shop and an expert staff offering clinics and individual lessons.

Another world-class golfing destination is the Doral Golf Resort. Five courses, including the world-famous Blue Monster designed by Dick Wilson, make this destination one of the few US resorts to earn a Silver Medal Award from Golf Magazine. The Doral has hosted a PGA Tour event, the Genuity Doral Championship, formerly the Doral-Ryder Open, since 1962 and Golf Magazine has also rated its 18th hole as of the best 100 golf holes, and one of the top 50 par-4s, in the world.

If you intend to spend time in or near Coral Gables be sure to take in the Biltmore Golf Course. Opened in 1926, and renovated in 1992 and 1997, the Biltmore Golf Course is a classic Donald Ross design. It hosted a PGA Tour event from the 1930's into the 1960's and each December the world's top junior players gather there for the Junior Orange Bowl Championships, one of the premiere international events for golfers under age 18. Unlike most Florida golf courses the Biltmore is not overrun with water or houses, water only comes into play on 6 holes. The course also has a liberal walking policy as walkers are permitted anytime except early on weekend mornings. Amenities include a fully stocked Pro Shop with club rental and repair, driving range, two putting greens, an extensive chipping area, and an on-site restaurant. Professional instruction is also available from the PGA accredited staff.
